University authorities have denied reports that videos of several female students were made and shared on social media.
During a preliminary investigation, it emerged that the arrested female student had shared a video of herself with someone said to be from Himachal Pradesh. Her role is also under the scanner, senior superintendent Vivek Sheel Soni of the Mohali police told reporters. .
He said Fir Under IPC Section 354-C (Hidden Cameras), the IT Act was registered and a female student was arrested.
