Tales of the Jedi will be released in October of this year

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is an animated show written by the same group that brought us season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Tales will focus on prequel-era Jedi, including Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Ashoka Tano, and, of course, Anikan Skywalker. The series will be split into his six short stories that follow these characters. Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi comes from creator Dave Filoni, who worked directly with George Lucas on the early seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Tales of the Jedi reveals new content that has only been told in some books. It looks like we’ll be getting a new backstory for the fallen Jedi Count Dooku, as well as Post-Order 66 content following Ashoka Tano.

More Voice Actors Returning to Tales of the Jedi

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi includes Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, Ashley Eckstein as Ashoka Tano, Matt Lanter as Anikan Skywalker, and Qui-Gon Jinn as Many of the same voice actors as the Clone Wars, such as Liam Neeson, will appear.

In Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, it looks like we can see how Ahsoka Tano defeats the Inquisitor without a lightsaber, purifying the Kyber crystal and transforming it into the iconic white lightsaber found on the Rebels and the Mandalorian.

You can also meet a young Qui-Gon Jinn and his mentor, Count Dooku. These are things that have only been told in the books, and fans are very excited to see them actually happen, especially in the animated style of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
