Sister wives non-shockers: Isabel Brown says she’s not far away from her father

I have some news that is not breaking news to report.

Isabel Brown said this week that she’s basically not related to her father, Sister Wise matriarch Cody Brown.

In the latest episode of this TLC blockbuster, the 19-year-old labeled her connection with her father “okay” when asked to respond by confessing.

But compared to the situation between Isabel and her mother?

“I think I miss my mother more than I miss my mother.

She then tried to qualify her answer a bit by replying:

“But I mean, he’s still my dad.”

This is true, yes.

It’s also true that Ysabel underwent back surgery in September 2020. Kody refused to be by her side during the procedure.

The 18-year-old’s father cited COVID-19 as the basis for the decision, which clearly had an impact on Ysabel.

“I need him there, why isn’t he coming?” Isabelle cried on air During the 2021 episode of Sister Wife.

Later, after leaving Kody, in an interview with People Magazine, Christine said of the development: Subsequent loss of respect for Kodiplayed a major role in her ultimately choosing to walk away from the marriage.

“I find it really difficult to be with a man I don’t respect,” Christine said of Cody two years ago and his behavior regarding this surgery.

“I understand COVID and why he couldn’t come, but she didn’t. And she’s still really struggling with it.”

That was revealed last Sunday night on Sister Wives.

Even to someone as selfish and insensitive as Cody.

“You know, whenever I spend time with Isabel, I do a lot of work to keep her away from me most of the time,” Cody said in the installment.

“I don’t know what it is. I don’t think I’m that big of an ogre. I don’t know why she won’t tell me. I’m open to her.”

Really, hey?

Don’t you know why she won’t talk to you?!?

In the same episode — featured Cody thinks he’s been betrayed by Christine — Christine reveals that Cody bought Isabel a car…and Christine invited him to take a cross-country trip with her to get her daughter into college.

However, he declined the offer.

“I think Isabel is probably hurt that I didn’t go, but there are people who are counting on me, not just Isabel. And it didn’t work out in this case,” he confessed.

“If it hadn’t been for COVID, I would have done it.”

That said, Cody added that he takes no responsibility for his poor relationship with his children.

“It’s not necessarily my fault if my relationship with younger kids isn’t going well, it’s just that I didn’t really have a mother to help me with that,” he really said.

“And Christine needs an excuse to be able to leave here and has been arranging things for a very long time to justify this to her children.

This one really sucks.
