Scott Eastwood and Shaya LaBuff reportedly had a hostile encounter with each other on the set of David Eyer’s war film Rage.
Eastwood recently told the Insider in an interview that LaBuff encountered him during filming because of apparent disrespect for his behavior. The script was updated and at the time required Eastwood to spit on a tank in the scene, but this was not reported to LaBauf, who made an exception to the gesture.
A similar statement was also made by Pete in an interview with the British GQ in 2014. The Moneyball star said he and LaBuff were in two towers of a tank that Eastwood spat on when chewing tobacco.
Describing the scene with some level of detail, Pete said, “I said in the camera scene, ‘You’re going to take this shit away.'”
“The neck captures this and you have to understand we’ve already been through a serious training camp, we’ve been through a lot in this tank. Neck saw this and felt that he disrespected our home. So I had the same reaction in my neck as I did, and they started saying a few words. “
Eastwood’s perspective was that the incident may have added to the level of discomfort on the set.
«[LaBeouf] he was angry with me, and it turned into an unstable moment, which ended up being Brad Pitt, ”Eastwood said.
“I never think your acting process should interfere with how people are treated on set,” Eastwood added. “It should always boost production, not take away and put people in a situation where it’s a crappy work environment, or you’re rude, or people need to be in an awkward situation.”
“You have to look at things from a perspective. It’s fiction, it’s fun, and sometimes it’s serious, and you do emotional work, and you give people space for that, but everything has to have its parameters. ”
As a result of a sexual assault lawsuit last February, LaBuff withdrew from his acting career and began receiving inpatient care due to PTSD and alcoholism. In December 2020, FKA Twigs music accused the actor of “ruthless abuse” including sexual assault, violence and infliction of mental anguish.
LaBuff is currently expecting her first child from partner Mia Goth.
