Whether you are a beginner or an experienced one yoga practicing, you will find your home in Yoga NoHo Center.
The unofficial motto of NoHo is: “No-ho as big as her people. ” This winter we highlight some of our amazing creative neighbors NoHo Arts District. This week is the Yoga NoHo Center, a health center for North Hollywood.
Yoga NoHo Center is your neighborhood studio that offers modern yoga with in-depth study of yoga, chiropractic, massage and spiritual healing. NoHo Yoga Center first opened its doors in 2014 and we are all excited that they have fully opened.
“Our faith in Yoga NoHo Center: now, more than ever, people need to be healthy, happy and strong to move through life. We are here at every turn. ” “Karen Russell, the owner.”
NoHo Yoga Center offers both traditional yoga classes with far-infrared heating and no heating; Gentle, strength, vinyasa-current, yin, restorative and kundalini-yoga. They also offer yoga on demand, live yoga and semi-private / private yoga classes.
Do you want to delve into your practice? Then sign up for their certified teacher trainings, workshops, sound baths and exciting retreats. Did you know Yoga NoHo Center has over 20 years of experience working with partner studios in India.
What makes NoHo Yoga unique … I know you’re from the dance world?
Yoga NoHo Center is the only yoga studio in Los Angeles that provides both far infrared heat (with parquet floor) and traditional unheated yoga, all styles of yoga such as Kundalini, gentle, power, vinyasa, yin, restorative and amazing Yoga Certified Teacher Training, seminars with renowned teachers who have studied in India, and retreats around the world. I have been a professional dancer for 18 years and I have been fortunate to work with such legends as Beth Middler, Madonna, Michael Jackson. So when I decided to have kids, yoga was a natural development and I combine dance with yoga in all my Vinyasa Flow classes.
What are the benefits of regular yoga?
Infinite…. because yoga is a practice of mind, body and soul, you will not only improve every aspect of your physical body, but also become emotionally focused, and now more than ever after two years has been closed, I have seen people just came to yoga for a moment of calm and clarity. When I spend my 200 hours training for yoga teachers, I always tell my students at the beginning of the course, “You can take a course to teach, but you finish the course knowing who you really are and what you can be with endless thirst. of life ”. People are finally given the opportunity without noise and chatter to find out who they really are. Many, if not all, of my students after the course make life-changing choices. So it’s endless.
Since yoga is very good for you, why do people hesitate to go to classes?
Well, I think they have an idea that “I have to be flexible”, or “I’m out of shape”, or “I’m too heavy”, or “I don’t have time”, or “I’m not vegan”. The list goes on and on. In fact, since this is the practice of your “Mind and Body of Soul,” none of the above matters at all. If you have a true yoga school that cares and understands a true yoga philosophy, then the mantra should be:
“Come the way you are, our job as a yoga studio or teacher is to hold the space so you can just be and grow.”
What made you choose NoHo to start your business?
I (Karen Russell) now own a NoHo yoga center and have lived in this community, and since 2001 I have owned my first Yoga Groove yoga studio in the arts district. I support art because I believe the art district is vital to the community to thrive in a big city like Los Angeles.
Owner Karen Russell has assembled a team of experienced, thoughtful, inspiring teachers, doctors and physicians to answer your questions. email@example.com | (818) 761-1705
