Jared Leto explores the origins of Marvel Marbius in a new short film

Sony has released a new short film for Morbiuswhere Jared Leto tells the story of the character’s comics.

Morbius has come a long way to the big screen and Sony currently have their next Marvel movie scheduled for April. So far, we have received two trailers of the upcoming film, which tells the story of the origin of one of the most formidable enemies of Spider-Man, and Jared Leto first brought Morbius to live action.

Now it looks like that Morbius will finally arrive in the coming weeks when COVID cases decrease. Sony has announced that the latest trailer will be released on Monday to fuel expectations. Meanwhile, Sony has released a short film with Jared Leto that explains the story of Morbius comics. You can check out a brand new short film below.

Here is a summary of Jared Leto Morbius:

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicting characters comes to the big screen when Oscar® winner Jared Leto turns into the mysterious antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disease and determined to save others who suffer his own fate, Dr. Morbius tries to go to a desperate game. What at first seems like a radical success, the darkness inside it is released and turns this doctor into a hunter.

Directed by Daniel Espinoza and written by Matt Sassama and Burke Sharples, the film stars Jared Leto as the main anti-hero, Adria Archon, Matt Smith, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will co-produce the project with Lucas Foster, and Palak Patel will oversee Sony.
