Gucci Announces New Exhibition Spotlighting Changemaker Academics
With September just around the corner, Gucci has announced the 2022 winners of the Gucci North America Impact Fund. Scholar ProgramTo date, the Italian fashion house has awarded nearly $1 million in scholarships to students. Following the announcement, Gucci also revealed the location of its latest physical store in downtown Detroit – One of the focus areas of Gucci’s Changemakers program. For a special opening night of the exhibition, Gucci invited scholars and close friends of the brand to indulge in an intimate celebration. The exhibition happens to be open during Detroit’s Design Month, and Gucci is bringing the city to life by featuring music by her Detroit native DJ BMAJR and a special performance of her original poetry by Jessica Kea, her Moore. fully embraced the culture of Workday. “
This new exhibition spotlights the diverse work of 24 scholars and designers across a variety of artistic mediums, including fashion design, photography, painting, architecture, and digital illustration. Notable guests on opening night included Bethan Hardison, Tommy Walker, Tracy Reese and several Gucci executives. In line with the brand’s mission to connect the public with the exhibition to experience the role, ‘Building Lasting Impact’ was open to the public from September 9th to September 11th.
