Genelia D’Souza shares first poster for Marathi debut Ved, writes emotional note

Actor Genelia D’Souza has shared the first photo From her Marathi film Ved, Directed by her husband, actor Raitshu Deshmukh. The movie has him in the lead role in the first poster. Genelia wrote an emotional note in Marathi. In her poster, Genelia looks pensive while Riteish lights a cigarette.
The tweet roughly translates to, “I was born in Maharashtra. Since I started acting, I have made films in different languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu. I am making my Marathi film debut in Ritesh’s first directorial venture.Working in Marathi, I feel like I have come full circle.”

Lightsh announced the film last year, saying, “After being in front of the camera for 20 years, I took a huge leap to get behind it for the first time.” I wish you all the best, be part of this journey, be part of this madness. As a producer, Riteish Deshmukh has assisted Marathi films such as Balak Palak, Lai Bhaari and Faster Fene. He made his acting debut in Marathi films in Rai Baali (2014) directed by the late Nishikant Kamat. Ved will be released on his December 30th.
