The luxury theaters network Emagine Entertainment announced this week that its subsidiary, Dandiprat Holdings LLC, has initiated the process of renovating and modernizing four former Goodrich Quality Theaters to turn them into modern cinemas.
Theaters are located in Kochville Twp., Michigan; Batavia, Illinois; Portage, Indiana; and Noblesville, Indiana.
Four facilities leased to Spirit Realty Capital, Inc. were transferred to Emagine in September 2020 following the bankruptcy of Goodrich Quality Theaters, Inc. at the beginning of the same year. Three of the venues reopened last summer when government restrictions imposed on cinemas due to Covid-19 were lifted and feature film deliveries returned to the first screening. Two facilities in Indiana will remain in operation throughout construction, as half of each building will be cordoned off simultaneously to continue work. Reconstruction of the Saginaw site is almost complete. The full completion of the $ 22 million reconstruction project is scheduled for the end of 2022.
Emagine chairman Paul Glanz noted: “All four theaters were good artists for the former cameraman. We will turn them into wonderful theaters – facilities that guests will enjoy, taking into account all our planned improvements. The following are details of the venues and details of the upgrades planned for each venue.
