Eisling Bee is working on a film about the music of Take That

On st BandLab NME Awards 2022Laureate of Best Television Aysling Bee said she is working on a film about music Take this. Watch our full video interview above.

The actor, comedian and writer spoke NME from the winner’s room, just picked up middle finger trophy for best TV actor for the image of Aine in the drama This way up.

“I’m shocked, of course,” Bee said NME after her victory. “I drank a few extra beers, knowing I definitely wouldn’t fit.”

Asked how she felt about winning, Bea replied, “Oh, great! Really great, actually – it’s a beautiful thing. I like how NME supports so many music performers, and I like that comedy (which, in my opinion, is a form of music) in it is gaining recognition. Mae Martin was recognized Feel goodand they’re good friends of mine, so it’s just great. “

Looking into future projects, Bea revealed, “Right now I think I can say that from now on I’m working on a film with Take That music – so it’s very relevant for the NME Awards! I’m sure Take That is often appreciated and rewarded here at the NME Awards!

“But I think there’s a long correlation between music and comedy, their sound and how much they depend on the rhythm. This [award] really glorious. I really mean it: thank you so much NME! ”

Bea defeated other nominees Mae Martin, Nkuti Gatwa, Oli Alexandra and Zendaya. She nodded at the display of the latter Euphoria in his speech at the reception: “Great honors to the little independent TV show Euphoria!! I’m sure we all expected it, but I didn’t, ”she said jokingly, receiving the award from presenters Muni Chava and Amelia Dimoldenberg.

Bea also dedicated her award late Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan. “Sharon Horgan and I had a moment when we sang“ Zombie ”by The Cranberries, and it was a success,” she said. “I would like to dedicate this award to the late, great Dolores O’Riordan, whom I admire.”
