Cardi B faces trial in misdemeanor case stemming from strip club brawl in 2018

The Grammy-winning rapper in a plea deal announced Thursday Cardi B Pledging guilt and doing 15 days of community service for two separate fights in a New York City strip club two years ago.

Just before her trial began, the 29-year-old WAP singer agreed to conditional release, saying in a statement that “the signs of maturity and maturity are responsible for your actions.”

Belcalis Almanzar, better known as Cardi B, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges related to an altercation that occurred in August 2018. Ten additional charges, including two felonies, were dropped as well. In addition to the main defendants, two more defendants pleaded guilty.

Prosecutors allege Cardi B and her group planned to retaliate against staff at the Angels strip club in Flushing, Queens. This is due to an ongoing conflict between the rapper and one of his club employees.

After arguing with the bartender, the group turned violent, throwing chairs, bottles and hookahs. She and another worker were found to have suffered minor injuries.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz clarified in a statement that no one was above the law.Ms Belcalis Almanzar and two other co-defendants pleaded guilty today. The Administration agrees that the resolution reached is satisfactory, including appropriate community services.

Cardi B turned down a plea bargain that would conditionally release her in 2019. The case went to a grand jury, where two felonies were indicted.

Cardi B said, “I want to set a positive example for my two children, so I’m not afraid to face and admit the horrible decisions I’ve made in the past.” and “Girls Like You”, a collaboration with Maroon 5, are two of Cardi B’s most successful singles to date.
