In the US alone, the film made $4.4 million in its weekend. On Friday, Brahmastra Part 1 Shiva Earned $5.8 million (all languages) in India. The figure makes the film his second highest opening Indian film since March 2020. KGF Chapter 2 had a better opening day collection at $6.7 million. Originally written in Kannada, KGF Chapter 2 It was released on Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada screens. brahmastra It has also been released in Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
On Friday, the Hindi version of the film made $4.5 million in the Indian market alone. The film, starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was released worldwide on September 9th.
The film is the first part of a trilogy aimed at exploring the world of Indian mythology and the various legends of weapons crafted from the fundamental elements of the universe. Mukerji created ‘Astraverse’ in his new film. This is something that can be compared to his DC and Marvel legendary worlds in Hollywood.
Brahmastra Part 1 Shiva Follows the story of Shiva, a famous character essayed by Kapoor. Shiva is a young DJ who has visions of specific criminal events across India and soon finds herself at the center of the war between good and evil. Shah Rukh Khan makes a guest appearance and Muni Roy plays a negative role in the film.
Mukerji perfectly understands the part of building a sci-fi world that has its roots in Indian mythology. He avoids going too deep into those waters and avoids putting too many details into mythological concepts. It is loosely based on the concept of Goddess Parvati (also known as Isha). But the current parallels in love stories just didn’t work for me. The dialogue is cheesy and the chemistry doesn’t look engaging enough.
The film boasts a diverse ensemble cast, from young stars Kapoor and Bhatt to veterans Khan and Bachchan. Of the actors, Akkineni is the most impressive, but has as limited an on-screen presence as Khan.
Just one day after the film’s release, multiplex chains PVR and INOX were reported to have suffered heavy losses due to Brahmastra’s poor box office performance. However, Kamal Janchandani, CEO of PVR Cinemas, denied the reports, writing on Twitter: Is it a lack of understanding or is it intentionally designed to make you question? Not to miss any important facts, @_PVRCinemas on #Bramhastra on day 1 he made $1.02 million You can confirm that you did a pure BO. ”
He further cited a recent premiere collection of Hindi hits (on PVR), declaring that the chain had a “great weekend.” he wrote: In the way of pre-sale/pre-sale today (Saturday) @_PVRCinemas easily crosses 900 million NBOC (today) and he 1 billion NBOC on the 3rd day/Sunday. When a movie grows from a record-breaking Day 1 number. Simply put, it means your paying viewers are enjoying the movie and spreading the positive word about it. It’s very encouraging to think that will be lined up. ”
Last month was a disappointing one for the Hindi film industry. Puri Jaggannath Destroys Myths of South Indian Cinema, Boosts Indian Box Officeof hindi movie debut liger Failed to create magic.
