Most recently, he partnered with the brand for the cult classic movie-inspired Love Jones collection at AFFF in Miami and his soirée for an evening hosted by Cadillac at Martha’s Vineyard.

“We are two American luxury brands, and the two go hand in hand,” says Ricks. “We said you were doing something really well, and we were doing something really well. let’s go.”

Rix is ​​no stranger to working with classic brands. Rix has curated dining experiences at his James Beard House in New York City, created tens of thousands of chocolates for Hollywood’s elite at EMMYS, GRAMMYS and OSCARS, and has worked with high-profile clients such as FedEx, Disney, and more. He finds inspiration everywhere and most recently created collections based on his favorite movie theater snacks. “I’ve always had a vivid imagination, so I’ve always been curious about people, experiences and, of course, food,” says Ricks. “I lived a lot in my head. I was very imaginative and very creative.”

He continues: That’s my best way to describe it. I am always attentive, always talking and meeting people to learn what their experiences are. “

Rix’s “haha” moment happened literally overnight. “I was living in Baltimore, and one day I woke up in the middle of the night, and I thought, ‘I have a dream. “I will make chocolate and be a chocolatier for the rest of my life.”

And the rest was history.
