There are setbacks. You can be exposed to negativity that can have a lot of impact on your outlook and overall mental health.
Luckily, mobile phones allow us to tailor what we take in. If it doesn’t feel right, you can mute it or prevent it from bothering you in the future. But while we tend to exercise that level of control over our apps and technology, we seem to struggle a little more with keeping our distance from the people and things around us that give us negative energy.
