Six Days and Seven Nights actress Anne Hecht has been hospitalized and is in critical condition after a car accident. The actress suffered severe burns after crashing her car into a garage, according to media reports.
According to Fox News, Ann crashed her car into a Mar Vista, California home on Friday, causing a fire. She was taken to the hospital with severe burns. Ann, 53, was driving a blue Mini Cooper when she first crashed into the garage of an apartment complex in Los Angeles. Witnesses told TMZ they tried to help the actress out of the car before she fled. Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, told Fox News Digital that the person involved in the crash was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
At the time of the incident, there was a resident in the house who escaped injury. Anne, however, had suffered burns and was “conscious and breathing” when she was placed on a stretcher.
Ann rose to fame with her role on the soap opera Another World, where she played the dual roles of Vicky Hudson and Marley Love from 1987 to 1991 and won a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. She then went on to star in films such as Donnie Brasco, Six Days and Seven Nights, and Wave the Dog. Her romantic relationship with Ellen DeGeneres in the late 90s led to intense media attention at the time, largely to Heche’s professional disappointment. In a 2021 interview with Page Six, Hechy said she felt “blacklisted” after their relationship became public, according to CNN.
Anne has recently appeared in numerous television series, including Brave, Quantico, and Chicago Cop. (With inputs from ANI)
