Andrew Garfield, Charlie Cox secretly dined “face to the wall” during the filming of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” | Hollywood

Despite the fact that in last year’s blockbuster superheroes many actors returned for surprises Spider-Man: No way home, Marvel has managed to keep most of the leaks in fear for as long as they could. The actors also did their job, denying all rumors for almost two years.

But during the filming, two of the heavy attackers almost slipped. In a recent interview with Charlie Cox – who returned in the film as Matt Murdoch, aka Smegala – told how he and Spider-Man number 3, Andrew Garfield, accidentally gave away once.

Andrew and Charlie have been friends since the early days. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Charlie said that when they were both filming in Atlanta at the same time, they decided to make it to dinner. “As we sat, it both occurred to us,‘ Oh, hell. If we are filmed here together, it is not a good sign. ” So we ended up sitting, facing the wall, both of us, ”Charlie said.

The actor added that he hated lying about his cameo and denying it every time it arose, but still did it as part of the work. “I hate lies. But I really don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I feel that if someone asks you and you say, “I don’t know… I’ll have to wait and see.” It betrays him! This is obvious! No one will say this if you are not in it. I am relieved that it is over, ”he added.

Charlie played Smegavica for three seasons in Marvel’s Daredevil, which aired on Netflix, as well as in the limited series Defenders. Meanwhile, Andrew became the headliner of the science fiction series The Amazing Spider-Man. Both actors have stated in the past that for them it was an emotional moment to reprise their roles in the film “No Way Home”.
