At the second annual BravoCon fan event, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney made their first joint grand entry since separating to attend the Vanderpump Rules panel.
The pair sat across from each other and discussed how they’ve been doing since their breakup made headlines, an experience Schwartz said was more taxing than he bargained for.
The reality star admitted that the past few months have been an “emotional roller coaster”.
For some time he continued. I was addicted to darkness. For a while I went through his EMO phase. I was there having a disappointing bash. He went on to claim that he was over those feelings now and that attending BravoCon made him feel better. I am fine now, he declared.
Responding to a question about why they decided not to release a joint statement announcing the breakup, Maloney said, “When the rumors started circulating online, we kind of had a need.” and I just wanted to live my truth. Much of our lives are already shared.
It was harder for the divorce to become public knowledge than Schwartz anticipated. He said it was tough when he made a statement about going public with the divorce when we were already divorced and reconciled, and he shared the 12-year relationship that lasted on his one Instagram post. Is there a way to sum it up with a picture?
He declared, “I am Katie’s biggest supporter.” You may not always feel that way, but remember that you are loved and supported no matter how you feel. We talked about reactions.
