The Lord of The Rings: With two more episodes to go before the first season of The Rings of Power ended, the Amazon Original series took down the house in Udûn’s massive fight sequence in Episode 6. This epic Fans of the fantasy series were stunned by this shocking episode, considered one of the most important events in the history of JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth. Among the many sequences that left viewers in awe, the events following Arondir aka Ismael Cruz Córdova definitely expanded the scope of the series’ action near the epic finale.

Speaking of one of the most intense scenes in which he was confronted by an orc and successfully stabbed a berserker in the eye, Cordova said: The man is huge, incredible movement and fighter. I had to climb on him, step on his hips and feet, wrap around his body and strangle him as he moved around. It’s like riding a mechanical bull. There were no rigs, no wires. We were not supported by anything. I was behind this huge man trying not to fall.

The actor analyzed his training for a fight that took eight months and required three months of preparation for that fight alone. “The hardest part was when he broke a post on my back. But of course sometimes you do.My neck just got busted.I was like a walking robot.” After all his choreography lessons, he was “living in constant pain” and “bruised”.

Cordova was covered in oak blood, a mixture of gooey chocolate, gelatin and food coloring. So I had this pool of sweet goo on me for the better part of two weeks.
